Make sure to take into consideration freeform vs. rectangular when reading people's pool sizes. A freeform 18 x 38 pool is about 15% smaller than an rectangular 18 x 38. 20 x 40 is not too big. Big yes, but great for groups. Here's a few picture of ours. If you have kids and they are on sports teams or in other groups, it would be a fantastic size.
I have a fairly large freeform pool with stairs and a long bench. My Polaris 3900 died and I'm considering the Dolphin robotic cleaners. Are these cleaners able to cope with my type of pool? Are there certain models that are better equipped? The Maytronics site doesn't have good tools for...
I would like it to be freeform, to have some natural rock, small rock waterfall grotto, sun ledge. I haven't decided on depth, but probably 6'6" to 7". I would love close to 40'x20', but dolla bills yo. I would love to see pics of TFP member's in ground (i guess semi-in ground) pools on a slope.
My friend has a kidney-shaped pool with variable depth and he's not a good records keeper, so he doesn't know what's his pool volume. I'm trying to help with water testing and balancing, but obviously without knowing the volume that wouldn't be easy. I can trace the circumference on graph paper...
My pb said he only installs flagstone coping on freeform pools. I want a smooth edge, bullnose. I was thinking of travertine but pb says it will have to be cut in a million pieces and would look awful. What do you think ? Any other alternatives ?
Hello, I need advice from anyone with examples or experience with the installation of sheer descents and ideally having two sheer descents on a freeform pool along curved edges. My pool is under construction and my contractor intends to install two 3 foot sheer descents along the freeform...
We have flagstone coping and a freeform pool so it is not uniform. It is mostly 1"-2" overhang. I think either of your choices is fine for a kid hanging on to the side. Personally, I would go with 1/4", especially if you have some benches around the pool for the adults to sit on for a chat and a beverage. 3" might be a little too much.
We're looking to get a safety cover for our pool, all the quotes we've gotten are $4000 (uninstalled) or around there. Wondering if I can just buy a rectangle pool cover (specifically looking at Loop Loc) and install that. Our dimensions are 18' by 36' and the short part of the kidney is 16'...
Hi This is my first post. I have been looking for a spreadsheet to do the calculations, and I found this thread. I decided to create my own based off the...
If you zoom out on the graph you can make your Freeform pool shape with just a few measurements and round off all the extra points. The area is shown up top at all times and multiply it by the average depth for cubic feet. Multiply that by 7.481 gallons per cf and it should be pretty accurate.
